Put a twist on a childhood treat that Cosby never intended. "How do I do this?" you might say. Well put the paper and pen aside because you will need no notes here, just a few minutes of your time.
Ok, so where do you start. Well, first you need to get some jello to make it (obviously), a liquor you intend to use, shot glasses to | | Simple disposable paper shot cups that go for $7.95 for 250 at KegWorks.com. | put the jello in, and lastly (this is the tough part) water. Ok a few things you should realize. First is you will want to use a clear liquor for your jelloshots (liquors with fruit twists will be especially good to use). Also, you might be thinking "Man where do I get all these shot glasses to use?" Well heres a simple solution, get the paper disposable ones.
Now that you have all the stuff, you might wonder "what do I have to do next?". Ok well here we go. For every 3 ounces of jello (a standard box), 1 cup of boiling water is needed and one cup of cold water. Ok well to start, for the 3 ounces of jello, stir in 1 cup of boiling water in a bowl until the jello is completely dissolved. Next instead of stirring in a cup of chilled water, stir in a 1/3 of a cup of chilled water and 2/3 of a cup of your liquor also chilled. From here all you have to do is put the jello mix into the shots and refrigerate until it solidifies (at least 4 hours).
There are some things you might want to keep in mind. First is the strength of your liquor. Obviously their will be a difference in alcohol content between using a vodka (80 proof) and everclear (180 proof). The above directions where based on using a 80 proof liquor (making the jelloshots about 13%) so if you use a more potent alcohol lower the alcohol amount and raise the chilled water amount (vice versa for an alcohol of lower content).
