Ah got a fresh new 12 pack and are looking forward to pounding it before your grimmy friends come by and try to weisel some. But oh no, you don't have a bottle opener on you!!!! Well below are going to be listed a few ways to get yourself out of a pinch like this.
Now remember, there are two ways to overcome a dilemma such as this: prevention and substitution. | | An awesome wall mounted bottle opener that goes for $6.95 at KegWorks.com, a definate must. | Lets start with prevention. Whats the best way to make sure you don't get stuck staring at your beer instead of drinking it? The obvious answer, making sure you have what it takes around to open them. One major thing that will help solve that problem is having a wall mounted beer bottle opener. Being able to be put on anything that you can put screws into (i.e. wall, loft, bar, etc) these bottle openers are not only handy but chicks dig them. Another thing you might want to try and get is a simple bottle opener keychain. Cheap, easy to use, and always available, keychain bottle openers are the way to go.
Ok, now lets get past the obvious. What happens when you get into a position where you don't have that trusty ol' bottle opener around and your teeth aren't up to the challenge? Well first make sure your not having a mental lapse and its not a twist off. If its not, then there are more then a few options you can take. The first, but probably most destructive would be to use a table or counter edge. How so? Just put the caps bottom edge so its hooked onto the table and hit down on the cap. The draw back here is that it will mess up any tables or counters you have (definately not a good thing if you have nice furniture). Lucky for you, if you don't have old furniture there are other ways. One way to pry that bottle open involves a lighter and a little muscle. How so you ask? All you have to do is put the bottom of the lighter between the bottle cap and the ridge below it, pressing the lighter down and in, and presto, an open beer.
